BOTOX® Cosmetic

How Does It Work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic(is a purified protein produced by the clostridium botulism bacterium which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause many facial lines to form).
Relaxing specific muscles allows lines of expression to soften, giving the skin a smooth appearance within a week. Because specific muscles are targeted, desired facial expressions are unaffected. Skin sensation also remains unchanged.
Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?
By targeting specific muscles with appropriate doses of BOTOX®Cosmetic, only unwanted negative expressions should be affected. The muscle activity that causes facial lines is simply reduced. A BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment should not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you “had work done”.

While many physicians’ offices offer BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, many are actually performed by a Nurse .

A= The effects start to become noticeable within a couple of days, usual results are seen within 5- 10 days.
Q= How long does the treatment take?
A=The consultation is 15 min to answer your questions, and the botox injection typically take 10 -15 min, so your initial appointment would be 30 min including consultation.
Q=Is it painful?
A=With the injections, you will feel a "pin prick" , (depending on your pain tolerance, some people feel minimal pain to no pain at all).
Q= Will I get bruising?
A= Typically bruising is not expected or is minimal with Botox injections(although you should not take any ASA, blood thinning medications, including natural blood thinners, or drink alcohol the day before or day of treatment).

A= You will be able to return to work immediately after your treatment .
